There is so much work to be done on Harvest Time, when I left her at the end in 2019 just for Christmas! I never expected to be off her for almost 2 years circumstance had it that after Christmas, I found I could not come back the plan was to come back in the March! Well, the week I’d planned for my return the Government started talking about a three-month lock down beginning at the end of that week!!!
When I came back found her in more of a mess then I left her in. Back in the late spring early summer ’21. Originally leaving with the start of what I called the Galley project. (More on that in a bit) However, came back to find water had got inside the boat via the back step down drainage holes being blocked. Rotting away the step inside the floor. Took some time to pump oy the water and a 3-month drying out before work could eventually begin. – new floor, partial new wardrobe and the bed also needed ripping out! Water had wicked up the gunwale carpet wall needing replacing too. Oh, and to do all this work the electrics needed taking out and putting back later. They live in the back of the wardrobe that needed dismantling.

Bulk head full of water that had pored through the door ruining the floor!

Floor almost dry and before it really fell apart wardrobe wood on the right still very wet! ( it needed replacing). The floor did end up with a massive hole later before it was replaced.
Back to Now
All that remains in the back bedroom to do, is the gunwale on the bedside needs the new coving, the floor cover to be finished replacing, new skirting plus some adjustments to the electrics. Nearly forgot the back step inside needs to be replaced and soon! Not having one is driving me nuts!!

From stern door looking in through. New cover on the gunwale. New bed Hight. The radiator has been painted black. The floor cover still needs to go down. After that the skirting boards can go back.
the Galley project
Which was just beginning when I left. Quite some time ago had a leak under the sink that warped all the MDF shelving. At a time later the washing machine that came with the boat died. It has now been replaced last year, but its size is slightly different. As for the Fridge it works, but for me the freezer space is too small. Have had my eye on a new one for more than 8 years now, it’s been a low priority due to the fact it works perfectly well. Another small thing that bothers me is the sink is right next to the cooker. Would love some space between. That would mean a new countertop. If I am replacing shelving as a matter of priority. Might as well do the lot!!
Of course, the is the saloon/lounge which was a project nearing competition before leaving the boat. But it can wait a little longer.
All this is before you get me started on the outside. Again, something for another day or rather spring when it’s a little warmer.
And Now
Can all this be done in the next few months? Would very much like to see inside compete by the end of march only 2 months away. Wonder if that’s a tall order? Think I will have to set myself some deadlines and with you the readers help try to keep them. Guess we will just have to wait and see!!!
